Meet the Team

  • Vanessa Pinney

    President

    Vanessa is deeply passionate abut energy and climate solutions, with work experience ranging from energy market modeling to climate policy to novel energy technology development. She is currently a Project Finance Associate with New Energy Risk, a firm that applies risk assessment methods to reduce capital costs for first-of-a-kind clean energy projects.

    Vanessa holds a Masters of Engineering Management, a BE in Environmental Engineering, and a BA in Engineering Sciences, all from Dartmouth College. She is originally from New York City, and enjoys hiking, skiing, and community organizing in her free time.

  • Lily Sylvester

    Vice President of Operations

    Lily is a Senior New Business Analyst at Avangrid, where she works on offshore wind business development and market-making activities. She has previous experience working in urban planning and at nonprofits focused on energy and environmental issues. Lily is passionate about the energy transition and is excited to continue building a community of like-minded professionals in the Boston area. In addition to YPE Boston, Lily is also an involved member of New England Women in Energy and the Environment.

    Originally from Rhode Island, Lily graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Writing and Energy Science and Policy.

  • Anthony Hall

    Vice President of Sponsorships & Partnerships

    Anthony is a utility-scale battery storage developer at ENGIE with six years of experience in the energy sector. He combines deep industry expertise with strong leadership and project management skills to deliver complex renewable energy solutions. Anthony’s work is driven by a commitment to advancing the energy transition while ensuring financial viability and operational excellence.

    He is a 2022 Washington Graduate Scholar and Gordon Fellow. Anthony earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in Energy Systems from Northeastern University.

  • Fabio Di Fabbrizio

    Secretary

    Fabio is an Operation Analyst at Accent Public Relations, LLC, combining a passion for organizing data with communications. He has a vast array of different experiences in various industries, including candy manufacturing, restaurants, museums, and hospitality. He is currently working to build communities centered around clean energy and reducing waste in the Boston area.

    Fabio graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a MS in Management with a focus on Sustainability and a BA in History from New York University.

  • Guillermo Gomez

    Treasurer

    Guillermo is a Global Product Manager focused on developing battery-based emergency power systems that support critical infrastructure, including AI data centers, hospitals, and retail IT. With over eight years of experience in roles at Tesla, Lyft, Optimus Ride, and ZappyRide, he has worked across engineering, data science, and product management, helping to bring complex systems to life.

    A graduate of Stanford University with degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Political Science, and a Master’s in Management Science, Guillermo is committed to sustainability and fostering teamwork where everyone feels valued. Outside of work, he enjoys karaoke, dancing, skiing, and spending time outdoors. He’s also a real estate investor and enjoys sharing what he’s learned about sustainability, personal finance, and career development.

  • Jack Reetz III

    Marketing Chair

    Jack is a Business Development Associate at RENEW Energy Partners, specializing in driving decarbonization and energy efficiency solutions for commercial and industrial clients. With expertise in Energy Service Agreements (ESAs), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and emissions reduction consulting, Jack collaborates with industry-leading partners to deliver impactful cost and emissions-reductions solutions.

    Jack holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Springfield College. Outside of his professional role, Jack is an avid skier, volunteering as the Assistant Division Coordinator of the McBrine Division of the United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association(USCSA).

  • Francesca Reznik

    Marketing Chair

    Francesca is currently an external engagement program manager for MassCEC's workforce development team, where she is striving to build a just and equitable energy transition. Previously, she worked in energy policy at the Aspen Institute, an international think-tank based in Washington, DC, and at the energy justice nonprofit All in Energy. She recently completed the Climatebase Fellowship, a competitive 12-week educational program focused on building a career in climate tech. Last year, she finished her Master of Theological Studies in Religion, Ethics, and Politics at Harvard Divinity School, where she explored the intersections of climate, religion, and politics. Additionally, she holds a Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences in Public Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. Her bachelor's degree is also from Penn, where she graduated in 2019 with distinction.

  • Allison Gully

    Sponsorships Chair

    Allison is an energy professional with experience in consulting and supply chain. Her roots from rural west Texas also give her a rare perspective where she assisted in the development of a utility-scale solar project on her family's farm. She currently works in Procurement Strategy at National Grid to help tackle the unique supply chain challenges of a utility working towards a more sustainable energy future. She is passionate about all things energy sector and in her free time enjoys travelling.

    Allison holds a BA from Texas A&M University in International Studies and a Master of International Business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

  • Aasav Harania

    Partnerships Chair

    Aasav is an Energy Systems Engineering Project Manager at Solar Design Associates (SDA), specializing in the design and engineering of C&I, BIPV, DG, and Utility-scale Solar PV and Microgrid designs. He works alongside developers, financiers, and architects, serving as the projects engineer of record. Before joining SDA, Aasav was a researcher with Automation in the Built Environment (ABLE) Laboratory where he aimed to optimize energy usage and production in the building environment. Prior to this, Aasav was a Solar Developer for 15-Lightyears which is a Florida-based energy performance testing contractor and Solar EPC.

    Aasav is originally from Nairobi, Kenya. He holds an MS in Energy Systems from Northeastern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering & Sustainability from Florida Institute of Technology.

  • Evelyn Hatem

    Memberships Chair

    Evelyn is an Environmental & Energy Analyst at Eastern Research Group. Passionate about decarbonization strategy and energy policy, her role focuses on the voluntary renewable energy market and clean transportation. Prior to joining ERG, Evelyn earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Public Policy at Dartmouth College, where she researched carbon cap-and-trade in the electricity sector and interned in the Office of Sustainability.

    Previously, at Energy Action Network, Evelyn analyzed the social costs of greenhouse gases and their implementations in Vermont energy policy. With the Arthur Irving Institute for Energy and Society, Evelyn studied clean energy finance, electricity markets, and energy justice.

  • Darina Kinissova

    Events Chair

    Darina is an Energy Market Analyst at Energy Exemplar, where she helps analyze and model energy markets using PLEXOS to identify trends and develop strategies for clients.

    Previously, she spent two years as a Power Market Analyst at Wood Mackenzie, where she supported energy price forecasting and congestion analysis for CAISO’s short-term market to assist with asset optimization decisions.

    Darina holds a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from Boston University.

  • Grace Fletcher

    Events Chair

    Grace is a solar program manager at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources where she works with solar developers, utility companies, residents, and other government agencies to develop and implement the state’s solar incentive programs. She is passionate about the intersection of renewable energy with other environmental issues and works to coordinate the state’s energy policy with other climate goals.

    Grace is originally from Georgia and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

  • Christopher Baxley

    Events Chair

    Chris is an Associate Consultant with Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel, an executive search and workforce solutions firm focused solely on the renewable energy industry on a global scale. He provides tailored recruitment services to both clients and candidates across all renewable sectors - onshore and offshore. Previously, he interned with ENGIE North America on the Project Management team in Columbus, Ohio working across several energy efficiency projects.

    Chris is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Sustainability

  • Kailash Raman

    Events Chair

    Kailash is an energy professional with experience across the sector, ranging from engineering R&D, to project finance, to business development. He currently works in the Strategy and Market Development team at Form Energy. Kailash loves thinking about how technology, markets, and policy can be brought together to scale up innovative decarbonization solutions.

    He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Management Science from Stanford. Originally from Arizona, Kailash likes to spend his free time being outdoors and making music with friends.

  • Rita Alan

    Events Chair

    Rita currently works for National Grid Ventures Offshore Wind and Asset Management team. Her role focuses on supply chain analysis and optimization to provide support to the company's portfolio of projects. She has experience across different organizations in the offshore wind industry, working on government affairs and national renewable policy. She is passionate about the intersection of technology adoption and policy to ensure a just energy transition.

    Rita holds a BS from Georgetown University in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, with a focus on Physics and Renewable Energy. She is originally from South Carolina, and enjoys running in her free time.
